Landmarks Design Associates is
a full-service architectural firm specializing in preservation,
rehabilitation, and adaptive use of historic buildings and new
construction within existing neighborhoods and districts.
For over twenty-five years, the firm has worked with historic
properties and compatible new construction in historic
environments. LDA has a proven record of revitalizing existing
properties and delivering excellent design, winning the firm
awards and honors from such organizations
as the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the
Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, the City of
Pittsburgh, and Pittsburgh History & Landmarks
Foundation.
LDA’s work has included governmental and museum
properties, educational institutions, recreational facilities,
commercial buildings, single and multi-unit residential
projects.
Past projects include the design of a new building on the
grounds of the Frick Art and Historical Center for the Car and
Carriage collection, restoration of the Greene County
Courthouse, restoration of the Howe Childs Gatehouse at Chatham
College, and design of a retail
store for the Pittsburgh Symphony Society.
Current projects include restoration of the Duquesne Incline,
the Washington B&O Station, Botany Hall at Phipps Conservatory
and restoration of the façade and lobby
of the Keystone Club Building for Point Park University. |
